Mrs. Arrick's class is working on identifying the evidence that a chemical reaction is happening by observing reactions and looking for bubbling, color changes, temperature changes, and precipitate formation. Many of the reactions they observed did more than one of these things and some of the reactions had changes that were physical instead of chemical. #wolvesleadingthepack #scienceatwork #chasingbetter

Sawyer Copeland, an Lincoln High School Sophomore, was accepted into the FBI Future Agents in Training Program. Only 25 students in the state are accepted into this program every year. Here's a little information on the program... Our Future Agents in Training and Teen Academy programs allow students an opportunity to get a comprehensive look into today’s FBI. Generally, each course iteration is a minimum of eight hours but can be a week-long program with blocks of instruction and demonstrations at a local field office. Students are provided with several presentations on topics including terrorism, cybercrime, public corruption, polygraph exams, evidence response, SWAT, and the day-to-day operations of a typical FBI office. Students also learn from special agents, intelligence analysts, language specialists, and professional staff about investigative tactics that include gathering evidence, interviewing witnesses, and assisting with cases. We believe this new calendar will be a successful and positive path forward for our district. One main concern raised was about childcare.
