We hope everyone is safe and doing well after tonight's severe storms! Due to concerns about flooding and downed trees affecting bus routes, school will be canceled tomorrow.

EDIT: We have moved up the release time to 1:30!
Due to the forecasted storms, we will dismiss school early today at 1:30 pm. to ensure the safety of our students during bus routes. Please make necessary arrangements and be prepared for the early dismissal. Thank you.

Reminder: School is in session tomorrow β Monday, May 19 β as part of our makeup days for earlier weather closures.
Note: This entire week is part of our scheduled makeup days.
As the school year draws to a close, we have a lot to be appreciative of, and this week we especially appreciate our teachers. They are on the front lines, in the trenches, leading your kids toward a brighter future. They work hard to find unique ways to reach every student where they are, because when our children succeed, we all succeed. We are proud of the work our staff does, and we celebrate them this week.
Happy Teacher Appreciation Week!

π What an amazing night! π
A big thank you to the 86 incredible community members who came out to support our seniors at the Lincoln Scholarship Trivia event! π Together, we raised $1,700 in entry fees and donations, which was awarded to 10 lucky seniors who walked away with well-deserved prizes. πβ¨
Your generosity and support make a huge difference. Hereβs to community spirit and empowering the next generation! π #LincolnScholarship #CommunitySupport #GivingBack #TriviaNight #SupportingSeniors

Today is 'School Principal Appreciation Day' and we want to take a moment to recognize the incredible leadership our principals bring to our schools. They help create an environment where students feel safe, challenged, and supported, and where teachers and staff can do their best work.
So much of what they do happens behind the scenes, coordinating with staff, supporting families, guiding school culture, and responding to whatever the day brings, from student needs to emergencies, like taking shelter during a tornado warning!
They understand that each studentβs path is different and they work hard to make sure every student has the support they need to find success beyond the classroom, whether that means college, a trade school, or entering the workforce. We are truly thankful for the steady, thoughtful leadership they bring each day.

Today, we shine a light on our unsung heroes over in transportation. Youβve entrusted your kids to the school district not only for their education, but more importantly, for their safety. And that safety begins and ends with transportation.
We all know the war zone that is a school bus in the afternoon (a battlefield we wouldnβt wish on our worst enemy), yet these brave souls have answered the call to greatness. They are made of the very stuff that myths are made of, perhaps even sent by divine intervention.
Do they possess supernatural powers? Legend has it they have eyes in the back of their heads to ensure eyes on the road and your children at all times for maximum safety!
One day is not enough to express our appreciation for what you do, but we salute you on this day, bus drivers!

Fun fact: During extremely cold temperatures and snowy conditions, bathroom scales display an extra 5 pounds. Scientists are baffled by this phenomenon but unanimously agree it has nothing to do with cabin-fever-induced binge eating!
Enjoy your day off Lincoln and we will see you next week!
