The mission of Lincoln Elementary Pre-Kindergarten program is to provide a safe learning environment that encourages progress in literacy and mathematics skills and social-emotional behaviors in order for children to become life-long learners and responsible, productive citizens.
Welcome to the Lincoln Elementary Pre-K program. We are excited to be a part of your child’s foundation in learning. Lincoln Elementary Pre-K has sixty student spaces available for the 2014-2015 school year. Forty available student spaces are designed for children who will be eligible to attend public kindergarten in the subsequent school year and meet the guidelines for Arkansas Better Chance (ABC) enrollment. The remaining twenty available student spaces are open for private pay. Private pay would include those families qualifying for childcare assistance vouchers and for those students not eligible under ABC guidelines paying full tuition fee.
Each classroom has twenty students enrolled and is instructed by a state licensed teacher and a paraprofessional that has their Child Development Associate Credential (CDA). Daily activities are planned according to Arkansas Early Childhood Education Frameworks. Each child will be assessed using the Developmental Indicators for the Assessment of Learning-Third Edition (Dial-3) which is done within forty-five days of enrollment, Kindergarten Readiness Indicators Checklist (KRIC), and The Work Sampling System administered in the fall, winter, and spring.
